This training program is NOT for the BEGINNER GROUP.
The Beginners group should follow Oliver’s program.

We are back! It’s time to start training again

3rd June – 2 weeks  – Brisbane 10k and Half Marathon, Doomben
30th June – 5 weeks – Gold Coast 10k; Half Marathon and Marathon
5th August – 10 weeks – Brisbane 10k; Half Mararthon and Marathon
19th August – 12 weeks – Yeppoon Half Ironman

Those training for these running events should remember, while you are focusing on your running there is still benefit in cross training. We are a triathlon club – not a running club.

It now needs to be compulsory to have front and rear lights for morning cycle sessions

TIME TRIAL WEEK…Trophies up for grabs. New season so all handicaps are back to ZERO!

 Monday, 21st May
AM: 5.45am Swim Meet at Griffith Uni Pool

Time trials 1k for championship then 500m, 300m, 200, 100m
 You will need to time yourself and then record it in book, please

Tuesday, 22nd May – Time trial
AM: 5.30am Cycle Meet at Crestmead,  Wayne Goss Drive
 20klm time trial for the championship, then a 10klm time trial

Wednesday, 23rd May – Time trials
 AM: 5.30am  Run Meet at QSAC
5klm run for the championship, then -any or all 3klm, 2klm, 1klm

Thursday, 24th May
AM: 5.25am   Cycle Meet at Macca’s, Sunnybank – Tour de Macca’s

Depart 5.30 sharp. 3 Macca stops. We will return by 7.00 am. All are welcome.
Let’s see how tough Ironmen really are. The menu is TBA

Friday, 25th May
AM: 5.30am Run Meet at QSAC Track technique session
NOTE: Please bring your windtrainer for use by Olivers beginners group

Saturday, 26th May
AM: 5.30am Cycle Meet Simpsons Park

Ride river loop…..Half Ironman  – Repeat with a second loop at faster pace then run 45 mins off bike easy pace

Sunday, 27th May – Doomben 10klm or Half Marathon
AM: 5.30am. Bike/Run. Meet at Springwood Pool. Ride 2hrs – Redlands Bay Rd, run off bike – 50
