Are you interested in some quality riding.
Australia offers some spectacular cycling both in location and terrain.
Over the last few years we have managed to ride some absolutely awesome places. Wazza has been lucky enough to cycle some spectacular parts of Europe and I have toured the Rockie Mountains and on a different note, Princey, Daggy, Wazza and I rode the Canterbury high country rail trail. Closer to home, we have ridden the route of the Tour Down Under in Adelaide. Certainly hard to beat the rush and excitement as riders like Lance Armstrong, Geroge Hincapie, Stuart O’Grady and Louis Leon Sanchez fly past. After Christmas last year, we rode off our Christmas pudding with three spectacular days of riding – Gold Coast to Ballina following the coastline and returning through the hinterland.
We are offering the opportunity for anyone who wishes to join us for these events.
Queensland / NSW Tour
Brisbane to Ballina and return. Four days of spectacular riding heading to Ballina through Byron Bay, Lennox Heads, etc. Then we spend two days exploring NSW heading to place such as Casino and Lismore. Then heading back home we can offer the fantastic and lush inland towns and quiet back roads of Nimbin and Muwillimba.
Suggested dates: 27th December – 30th December.
Tour Down Under – Adelaide
Your chance to not only watch elite cyclists race through the hills, vinyards and follow the coastline through the glorious weather and terrain of Adelaide. We are planning to ride each day along sections actual race route – riding the KOM climbs, contesting the sprints and crossing the finish lines just like the professional riders.
The Tour Down Under has a variety of additional options available for those ready to take up the challenge. Such as…
The Mutual Community Challenge Tour which is ideal for individuals or social, corporate and sporting teams looking for a challenge with a difference. It’s a challenge – not a race. Part of the Skoda Breakaway Series, this event is for regular cyclists who can make the distance – will you make it to the finish before the professionals arrive? New for 2011, the Mutual Community Challenge Tour offers four start options. These range from the full 135km route from Norwood, to a short 35km ride from Macclesfield to Strathalbyn.
The Club Tour or the Club Tour Weekend. These options allow access to catered corporate boxes at the finish line on the last stage of the tour, discounts for merchandise and the Club Tour Dinner, a guided walkthrough tour through the Tour Village.
Oh – forgot to mention – it’s the most glorious wine country and we couldn’t possible tour through without one or maybe two winery visits.
Hardcore Ironman training – you’re not forgotten either – running paths along the river and through the Adelaide parks are beautiful and we’ll point you in the direction of the pool!
Suggested dates: 16th January – 23rd January
Costs for the Tours will be dependent on participant numbers.
All rides will be supported by a follow vehicle which will provide support, both mechanical and personal, minimum luggage transport, food and water supplies and any other essentials required. Transport to and from start and finish points will be provided if necessary.
Please send me an email if you have any questions or want any further information.
These are both totally fantastic riding tours. Let me know if you are interested as the earlier arrangements are made the better the options we have.
